About Meadow Hall Veterinary Practice...
Our professional and friendly Veterinary Practice in Thakeham, Pulborough
About us
We’re a down-to-earth, friendly independent veterinary surgery owned by local vet Sophie Hall. Offering excellent veterinary care in Thakeham, Abingworth, Warminghurst, West Chiltington, Storrington, and Pulborough areas, with access to a wide range of specialist services if required.
Not only this, but by supporting us you are truly shopping local as the money stays in the community. You see, we aren’t accountable to a Head Office and tiers of management, we’re only accountable to YOU!
All of our team are genuinely passionate about the care we give to you and your pet throughout their life.
Every pet is different and no one knows their pet better than their owner, so we take the time to get to know you and your pet. Sophie works with you to design a tailor-made treatment plan for your pet.
Because we know coming to the vets can cause your pet anxiety Sophie has created a purpose-built surgery with separate cat and dog waiting rooms, consultation rooms and wards.
Our Healthy Paws Clubs
Healthy Paws Club PLUS
We believe in treating your pet when an ailment is minor, before it become something major. That’s why Sophie created our Healthy Paws Club PLUS which includes unlimited consultations with a vet or nurse as well as vaccinations, flea, tick and wormer preventative treatment, nail clips, expression of anal glands and 10% off the range of food called “Specific”.
Healthy Paws Club
Listening to our customers is important to us, and with your input we’ve also created a more basic Healthy Paws Club which is simply for vaccinations, flea, tick and wormer preventative treatment.
Meet the team
Sophie moved to Thakeham in 1998 and the family home has remained on the outskirts of the village ever since. Bar a few years away up north to attend the University of Liverpool to study veterinary science, Sophie has been a resident of Thakeham for most of her life.
She is passionate about animal care, coming from a place of teamwork and understanding that is shared by the practice and the pet’s owners. It’s this desire that led Sophie to set up Meadow Hall Veterinary Practice.
Ruth has a wealth of experience in all areas of veterinary nursing from large animals to small animals, from exotics to teaching veterinary nursing! She also has experience working in for a charity and also in an animal hospital. She enjoys all aspects of the veterinary nursing role from mopping floors to assisting in surgery, but mainly supporting the vet so they can do the best for our patients.
Louisa has worked in the veterinary industry for 12 years, starting out as a receptionist/veterinary care assistant before qualifying at a Veterinary nurse in 2016.
She enjoys all aspects of veterinary care but has a particular interest in both wound and dental care. Like us she is also passionate about providing good customer service.
Karen started working in the veterinary industry in 1985 as a veterinary nurse. Having stayed with the same practice she was promoted to Practice Manager before recently retiring. Missing the veterinary life after retirement has lead her to us! She loves sharing the knowledge she has accumulated over the years in practice with owners and is enjoying being back in practice.
